Rail Wheel Factory (RWF), functioning under the Ministry of Railways, has announced the Act Apprentice Recruitment 2026 for 192 training positions in multiple technical trades. The apprenticeship program offers practical training in trades such as Fitter, Machinist, Electrician, and Electronic Mechanic. Candidates who have completed their 10th standard with ITI certification in the relevant trade can submit their offline application before the closing date. This recruitment provides an opportunity for eligible candidates to gain industry training in a central government railway establishment.

Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must have passed 10th Class or equivalent examination with at least 50% aggregate marks from a recognized board.
  • Applicants must possess a National Trade Certificate (NTC) in the relevant trade issued by the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT).
  • Only candidates with ITI certification in the designated trade are eligible.
  • Engineering graduates and diploma holders are not eligible for this apprenticeship training.
  • Applicants must have a valid Employment Exchange registration.

Age Limit

  • Minimum Age: 15 years
  • Maximum Age: 24 years
  • The age calculation is based on 01 March 2026.

Age relaxation is applicable as per government rules: 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates.

Application Fee

  • General / OBC Candidates: ₹100 processing fee through Indian Postal Order (IPO) or Demand Draft.
  • SC / ST / Women / PwBD Candidates: No application fee.
  • The fee should be drawn in favor of Principal Financial Adviser, Rail Wheel Factory.

Selection Process

  • Selection will be based on a merit list prepared from marks obtained in the 10th standard examination.
  • Candidates must have secured a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in Matriculation.
  • In case of equal marks, preference will be given to the candidate with higher age.
  • Selected candidates must undergo document verification and medical fitness certification before engagement.

Stipend

  • Fitter, Machinist, Mechanic (Motor Vehicle), Turner, Electrician, Electronic Mechanic: ₹12,261 per month.
  • CNC Programming cum-Operator: ₹10,899 per month.
  • The stipend will be paid during the apprenticeship training period as per apprenticeship rules.
