AIIMS NORCET 10 Recruitment 2026 – Nursing Officer Posts
The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has announced the NORCET 10 Recruitment 2026 for the post of Nursing Officer across participating AIIMS institutions. This recruitment examination aims to fill 2551 nursing officer vacancies through the Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test (NORCET).
Eligible candidates holding B.Sc Nursing, Post Basic B.Sc Nursing, or General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) qualifications can submit their application online through the AIIMS examination portal. The registration process started on 24 February 2026 and will remain open until 16 March 2026. Candidates must complete the application before the deadline to participate in the NORCET examination process.

Educational Qualification
- B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing / B.Sc. Nursing from an institute recognized by the Indian Nursing Council or State Nursing Council.
- OR Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized university.
- OR Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) from a recognized institute along with registration as Nurse & Midwife with State or Indian Nursing Council.
- Diploma holders must have two years of experience in a hospital with at least 50 beds after obtaining the qualification and registration.
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 18 Years
- Maximum Age: 30 Years (as on 16 March 2026)
- Age relaxation applicable for SC/ST (5 years), OBC (3 years), PwBD, Ex-Servicemen and other categories as per government rules.
Application Fee
- General / OBC Candidates: ₹3000
- SC / ST / EWS Candidates: ₹2400
- Persons with Disabilities: Exempted
- Payment Mode: Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net Banking.
Selection Process
- NORCET Stage I (Preliminary CBT) – 100 multiple choice questions, qualifying in nature.
- NORCET Stage II (Mains CBT) – 160 multiple choice questions, merit decided on this stage.
- Negative marking of 1/3 mark for each incorrect answer.
- Document verification and medical examination for shortlisted candidates.
Salary / Pay Scale
Selected candidates will receive salary under Pay Level-07 of the Pay Matrix (pre-revised Pay Band-2 of ₹9300–34800 with Grade Pay ₹4600) along with allowances applicable to central government employees.
