Educational Qualification

  • Diploma in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical) for relevant Junior Executive posts.
  • Bachelor’s degree in disciplines such as Chemistry, Commerce, Management, or other relevant fields for certain roles.
  • B.E. / B.Tech in relevant engineering streams including Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Chemical, Computer Science, Instrumentation, and related fields.
  • Professional qualifications such as CA, CMA, MBA, MCA, or M.Sc. are required for specialized positions in finance, IT, HR, and research domains.
  • Some positions require additional qualifications like Industrial Safety certification, law degree, or postgraduate specialization depending on the role.
  • All qualifications must be obtained through full-time regular courses from recognized universities or institutions.

Age Limit

  • Junior Executive and Engineer posts: Maximum 25 years.
  • Officer level posts: Maximum 25 to 27 years depending on the discipline.
  • Experienced professional positions: Maximum age generally ranges between 26 and 47 years based on role and experience.
  • Contract position (Cyber Security Strategist): Maximum age between 39 and 45 years depending on experience.

Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per government rules.

Application Fee

  • UR / OBCNC / EWS Candidates: ₹1180 (₹1000 application fee + ₹180 GST).
  • SC / ST / PwBD Candidates: No application fee.
  • Payment must be completed online through Debit Card, Credit Card, UPI, or Net Banking.

Selection Process

  • Computer Based Test (CBT)
  • Written Test / Typing Test (where applicable)
  • Group Task or Psychometric Assessment
  • Skill Test or Physical Fitness Efficiency Test (for certain posts)

The Computer Based Test is tentatively scheduled for May 2026 and will include sections on general aptitude and technical knowledge related to the applied discipline.

Salary / Pay Scale

  • Pay scale ranges from ₹30,000 – ₹1,20,000 to ₹1,20,000 – ₹2,80,000 depending on the post.
  • Approximate annual CTC ranges from ₹10.88 lakh to ₹49.30 lakh.
  • The contract role of Senior Cyber Security Strategist offers consolidated remuneration between ₹50 lakh and ₹60 lakh annually.
  • Compensation includes basic pay, allowances, retirement benefits, and performance-linked incentives as per HPCL policy.
