Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must have passed Class 8th, 10th, or 12th from a recognized board depending on the specific Agniveer category.
- For many categories such as General Duty, candidates should have passed Class 10th/Matric with at least 45% aggregate marks in five basic subjects and a minimum of 33% marks in each subject.
- Boards following a grading system will be considered equivalent to the required percentage.
- Indian Gorkhas may apply with a simple Class 10th pass.
- Candidates who have appeared for Class 10th board examinations and are awaiting results may apply provisionally, provided they produce the original mark sheet during the next stage of recruitment.
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 17½ Years
- Maximum Age: 22 Years
- Candidates must be born between 01 July 2005 and 01 July 2009 (both dates inclusive).
- Age relaxation is applicable as per government and Indian Army recruitment rules.
- Widows of defence personnel who died in service may receive age relaxation up to 30 years as per applicable guidelines.

Selection Process
The selection process for Indian Army Agniveer Recruitment 2026 is conducted in two main phases.
- Phase I – Online Common Entrance Exam (CEE): Computer-based test conducted at designated exam centres.
- Phase II – Recruitment Rally: Shortlisted candidates will participate in a recruitment rally including:

Salary / Pay Scale
