Coal India Limited (CIL) has released the Management Trainee Recruitment 2026 notification for 660 vacancies in E-1 Grade across multiple engineering and management disciplines. The recruitment drive is being conducted through a Computer Based Online Test (CBT). Candidates possessing qualifications such as Engineering Degree, M.Tech, M.Sc., MCA, MA, or Company Secretary certification in the relevant discipline can apply online through the official Coal India website from 12 May 2026 to 11 June 2026.

Educational Qualification
- Candidates should possess a full-time Engineering Degree in the relevant discipline with minimum 60% marks for Engineering posts.
- System discipline applicants should have BE/B.Tech/B.Sc Engineering in Computer Science/IT or MCA.
- Geology candidates must hold M.Sc./M.Tech in Geology, Applied Geology, Geophysics, or Applied Geophysics.
- Rajbhasha applicants should possess MA in Hindi along with Graduation having Hindi and English as main subjects.
- Company Secretary candidates should be Graduates with Associate/Fellow membership of ICSI.
- SC/ST/PwBD candidates are eligible with 55% minimum marks where applicable.
Age Limit
- Maximum age for General/EWS candidates: 30 years as on 30 April 2026.
- OBC (NCL): 3 years relaxation.
- SC/ST: 5 years relaxation.
- PwBD candidates: Age relaxation as per Government rules.
- No age bar for permanent employees of Coal India Limited and its subsidiaries.

Selection Process
- Selection will be based on a Computer Based Online Test (CBT).
- There will be no interview for final selection.
- The CBT will include Paper-I and Paper-II carrying 100 marks each.
- Paper-I includes General Knowledge, Reasoning, Numerical Ability, and English.
- Paper-II includes discipline-specific professional knowledge.
- No negative marking will be applicable.
Salary & Benefits
Selected candidates will be appointed as Management Trainees in E-1 Grade with a pay scale of Rs. 60,000 – 1,80,000/-. During the training period, candidates will receive an initial basic pay of Rs. 60,000 per month along with DA, HRA, allowances, and other benefits as per Coal India rules.
